New favorite scent
I bought this on a whim, I usually am not a HUGE fan of pumpkin or apple things, which puts me at a disadvantage during the holidays, but it was on sale and I do like maple, rum, bourbon, and boy was I surprised. I ran back upstairs and bought 10 more! I was so glad they weren't sold out!

Tunnel in center ... no scent!
I recently bought over $260 of candles all on sale but only 4 were this style but were on sale. Thus far I have been 100% pleased with Yankee and Woodwick ... but this particular candle line burned a 1.5 inch tunnel in the center and the entire perimeter did not burn ... even after 4 hours. To make it worse ... no scent. I'm very disappointed ... from now on only Yankee and Woodwick but no more Chesapeake Bay candles for me.

I Have Now Bought 3 of The Bourbon Pumpkin
The first one did have flecks on the top. I believe that during the cold weather, while being shipped the candle got knocked around a bit, and some wax just chipped off. The flecks disappeared very soon after lighting and any wax on the glass just melted.
The candle does have a tendency to burn unevenly towards the middle. I just monitor the burn and push down the sides. I only needed to do this three times. No big deal.
I have placed the candle near my bed and am very pleased with the scent. The throw reaches the whole room.
The after-holiday price is a bargain.

It actually says &ldquo;Discontinue use when 1/2&rdquo; of wax remains, as glass may shatter.&rdquo; And &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t burn more than 3 hours at a time.&rdquo; So, RELAX. It does NOT say that your candle will shatter after 3 hours, it&rsquo;s a suggestion, just like with a large jar they suggest 4 hours at a time. As far as burning the candle halfway, read it again, it says burn it until a half inch of wax is left to prevent glass from shattering. &nbsp;I recommend READING and therefore you may not be such an alarmist. Oh, by the way&hellip; ALL the Yankee Candles say (on the bottom label) not to burn lower than 1/2 inch, because the glass may shatter.&nbsp;
